Bonjour, I’m Julien.
Founder & Instructor - French Masterclass
I’m a native French speaker, a certified French teacher, and someone who’s walked the language-learning path myself — from zero to fluency in English. I know what it’s like to feel stuck between what you’ve learned… and what you can actually say. And that’s exactly why I created French Masterclass.
My Background — and Why I Created This
I trained at the Alliance Française Headquarters in Paris, earning my DPAFP-FLE diploma (mention bien).
Since then, I’ve taught French to hundreds of learners — in private lessons, international schools, group classes, and online.
I’ve helped students prepare for exams like DELF, IGCSE, O-Level, IB, and A-Level… but also those who were just learning French for the love of it.
And while I loved teaching, I kept running into the same frustration:
In most traditional settings — especially schools — the system decides everything:
Which textbook to use
What topics to cover and when
What counts as “success” (usually exams)
As a teacher, you can try to bring your own touch… but your freedom is limited. You’re constantly adapting your style to fit a structure that isn’t really designed for fluency or confidence — just academic benchmarks.
